A competition to create the year's three best newly developed intelligent embedded systems in the following categories: - Enterprise (for Swedish companies)
- Student (for Swedish college students)
- Micro/Nano (for college students and companies)
The prizes are being awarded this year for the eighth time. The finalist entries will be presented at the Scandinavian Technical Fair in the fall, at which time the prizes will also be awarded.
Klassen Enterprise är öppen fär alla svensk företag. 2009 års vinnare var Interspiro AB och Prevas AB med sin produkt SprioCom.
Klassen Student är öppen för alla studenter som går på Svenska högskolor. 2009 års vinnare var Stefan Skoog från Lunds Tekniska Högskola med sitt projekt Mikromotorstyrning.
Klassen Micro/Nano söker man inte till utan alla som blir nominerade i de två andra klasserna och somhar en produkt som inehåller Micro/Nano teknikär automatiskt nominerad till denna klass. 2009 års vinnare var Peng Cheng och Yan Yang från Mittuniversitetet med sitt bidrag Trådlös var...

Conditions and criteria
- All entries must achieve their function through the use one or more built-in processors with associated software, and should preferably be based on existing platforms.
- Entries in the Micro/Nano category must incorporate micro-or nano-system technology, such as sensors or switches based on MEMS technology.
- End product of commercial interest
- Design based on innovative thinking
- Working prototype must be ready by 1 September 2010
- The product/prototype must have been developed within the last year (as of 1 September 2010).
- One ore more representatives from the manufacturer must be able to attend in order to present their product/prototype at the Scandinavian Technical Fair, Stockhol (19-22 October 2010)
- The material must be easy to understand and well presented.
Prizes
The competition and prizes generally receive major media exposure. The prizes are handed out at a gala ceremony at the Fair. - The winners in the various categories receive acclaim, a certificate and a plaque.
- The winner in the Student category also receives an SEK 50,000 scholarship.
- The winners of the Enterprise and Micro-Nano categories each receive a full-page four-color advertisement in Elektronik i Norden (each worth SEK 34,000).
All the finalist entries are given exposure at the Scandinavian Technical Fair and in the media.
Entry forms, deadlines and jury
- Entry forms must be received by the jury by 10 June 2010.
- Entrants must register by filling out the entry form.
- The jury consists of participants from the organizers, so that representatives from both academia and the business community will judge the entries together. The composition of the jury, including a list of participants, will be presented in conjunction with the judging of the entries. The jury's decisions cannot be appealed.
